A group of five of us completed a 14 day tour of the Manaslu Circuit in the first half of May 2025 with Nepal Trekking Experts. The trip was a complete success, with all additional side trips (Pungen Gompa, Manaslu Base Camp, Birendra Lake, Rui La and the Tibetan Border, as well as some optional extra exploration), successfully completed, in addition to the full circuit.

The weather was excellent, despite being this late in the season, and we had outstanding views of Manaslu, as well as Himalchuli, Ngadichuli, Bhauda Himal, Pongkar, Pangpoche I, and Larkya Peak, to name a few). The trek was surprisingly and thankfully uncrowded owing to the relative lateness of the season.

The professional and friendly trekking team looked after our every need and the trip was seamless. The way that the team conducted the trek meant that everyone was well acclimatized by the time we were due to cross the Larke La pass. There was also plenty of time for additional exploration around each of the overnight locations, both in the early morning and afternoon. This allowed for more time to search for wildlife and immerse oneself in the local culture. We saw almost 160 species of birds and eight species of mammal.

Attention to small details really added to the trip, such as nightly fresh fruit for dessert (carried up by the team), good quality and well-located accommodation chosen throughout, and warm and clean sleeping bags provided. Having insight into the local culture and history by our extremely knowledgeable guide, Pratap, added significantly to the trip.

A big thank you to our on-trek team, ably led by Pratap, and the porters Santosh, Chhoung, and Padam, as well as the team behind the scenes in Kathmandu.

We took the 12 day Gokyo Lakes loop trek in the Everest region with Bikesh as our guide. It was amazing!! Nepal Trekking Experts is a first class operation! Trekking in the Everest region can go smoothly but when things get tough with weather, health, delays or logistics you want someone working with you who knows the area. All of those things and more can happen on these treks. In our case getting in and out of Lukla airport was tough. On our way out all flights were cancelled for two days when we got to the airport. Our guide and the owner, Rajesh, worked with their contracts in Lukla to get us on a helicopter out. It cost some extra but we got out the same morning ahead of many others who had been waiting overnight. Without them it’s likely we would have spent the night in Lukla. Worth every penny and the helicopter was fun. Highly recommend these guys!

Very great agency office. Rajesh gave us great advice and we chose Langtang Valley Trekking. Our guide was Rajan, who not only guided us through the valley but also sweetened our evenings with games and stories. Highly recommended. Good value for money.

Our Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek was tailored to our needs and expertly organized so that all we had to do was enjoy the experience. Our incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful guide, Sudarson ensured we were well fed, warm, fit and healthy and safe every day of the trek and we could not have gone the distance without Chandra, our very supportive porter. When we requested to change our itinerary towards the end of the trek, Rajesh and Sudarson were both very responsive and flexible, and took care of everything.

The Manaslu region and Tsum Valley did not disappoint. The spectacular scenery and authentic cultural immersion was everything we have hoped for. Highlights: Tsum Valley, Serang Gumpa, the walk south from Bimthang.

I did the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek in April 2025 with Nepal Trekking Experts. From the very first contact with Rajesh the communication, professionalism, and warm hospitality was exceptional. Rajesh and everyone at NTE make you feel welcomed, supported, and do everything they can for you to achieve your “dream” in Nepal.

Gautam was my guide on the trek and together we shared some very special moments. From this we now have a great friendship and brotherly bond. He continually supported me through times of struggle in the mountains. I have so much gratitude for Gautam; his support, kindness, humour, friendship, and knowledge was incredible. I felt very safe and respected and I couldn’t be more happy that he was my guide on this epic journey!

Due to personal sickness in the valley I had to cancel the Manaslu section of the trek, but experiencing the Tsum Valley was something very very special. The colours, sounds, textures, people, monasteries, animals, food, culture — wow! I will never forgot my time there and my heart, soul, and mind is filled with inspiration that I will take home with me into my life and work as an artist and musician.

The trek was very well organised from start to finish with everything being taken care of. All you needed to do was show up, pack your bag, and enjoy the beauty.

From consulting & booking (on site) to assisting with the planning and organisation of equipment to the Trek itself, the Trekking Experts have lived up to their name. Especially our guide Rabin not only did everything great on site and chose good routes and accommodation, but also always hit the right note when it was more strenuous or the weather did not play along. Overall, however, we were extremely lucky with the weather because whenever we needed it we had great visibility, which made the tour an unforgettable experience. This has been my second trek with Nepal Trekking Experts. After Manaslu circuit / Tsum Valley / Annapurna Circuit we decided to step up and go for a more off-the-beaten-path adventure, the Lower Dolpe Trek was a great choice!Nature wise: do not expect the views of 8000 meter peaks all around you in this region, the scenery is different. The rugged terrain and dramatic landscapes were both challenging and breathtaking. The sense of remoteness was incredible; for most of the trek, we didn’t encounter a single other tourist, which made the experience feel personal and authentic. We camped out for four nights during the trek, which added an extra layer to the experience. Our guide, cook and porters took great care of us during the trip. A big thanks to Rajesh (Nepal Trekking Experts) for his professionalism and fast communication. Everything was well-organized, and he was always more then willing to answer all of our questions. If you’re looking to experience the raw, untouched beauty of Nepal and connect with its culture, I can’t recommend the Lower Dolpo trek — and this agency — highly enough.

Unforgettable Experience with Nepal Trekking Experts

We chose the Kanchenjunga trek and it was absolutely amazing, the views and landscapes were unreal. Every day brought something new and spectacular, from dramatic valleys to massive snow-covered peaks.

The team at Nepal Trekking Experts was just fantastic. Rajesh, the owner, really is the man with the plan, super professional, quick to reply, and incredibly helpful. He organised everything for us and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.

We were lucky to have Thakur as our guide. With over 25 years of experience, he was calm, supportive, and always positive. He knows the area so well and shared heaps about the local culture, history, wildlife, and plants. It added a whole new layer to the experience.

Bimal, our porter, was a legend, strong, fast, and always had a big smile on his face. Since he's from the region, he seemed to know someone in almost every village. Together, Thakur and Bimal made sure we felt comfortable and welcome at every teahouse along the way. Their warmth and care really made a difference.

We’re so glad we chose Nepal Trekking Experts. It was a truly unforgettable adventure.
