Incredible Manaslu Trek with Nepal Trekking Experts [Binod & Rajesh]

We had an unforgettable experience on the Manaslu Trek, thanks to Nepal Trekking Experts. From the very start, everything was smoothly organized. Our guide, Binod, was fantastic—he was super experienced, supportive, and always made sure we were comfortable throughout the trek. Rajesh, the tour coordinator, was also great, helping us with everything in Kathmandu before, during, and after the trip.

What stood out to us about Nepal Trekking Experts is that it’s a smaller, local agency. The owner and many of the guides are from the Manaslu region, which makes a big difference. They’re passionate about the area, and it’s clear they want to make your trip as amazing as possible. We started our trek in early February, when it was still winter. Many of the teahouses along the route were closed, but thanks to their strong local connections, they made sure we had everything we needed.

Unfortunately, heavy snow made it impossible for us to cross the pass, but the team made the right call, prioritizing safety over everything else. We really appreciated how carefully they considered all options and how experienced Binod was at making these kinds of decisions.

We decided not to hire a porter and carried our own bags (about 10kg each), which turned out to be just fine. After a couple of days, our bodies adjusted to the weight, and the trek became more manageable. The scenery was breathtaking, and the whole experience felt so special, especially given how remote and quiet the route was.

The hotel they arranged for us in Kathmandu was also great—comfortable and located in the lively Thamel district, which was perfect for relaxing and exploring before and after the trek.

Overall, we have amazing memories of the whole trip, and we can’t thank Nepal Trekking Experts enough for their professionalism and personal touch. We highly recommend them to anyone planning a trek in Nepal!

In terms of organisation and planning. the Nepal trekking experts were flawless. Everything under their control ran extremely smoothly, all we had to worry about was the trekking, everything else taken care of completely.

Basanta, our guide, was the epitome of professionalism. He became a good friend during the trip all the while imparting great knowledge and taking care of all our needs. Everyday he executed without mistake and truly led us to get the most out of the trip. I can’t express enough how much of a difference he made to the overall experience.

We had an incredible trip in Nepal doing the Manaslu Circuit with Nepal Trekking Experts. We had heard about the company via a friend, and when visiting the website it was all very clear and informative. We had all the information we needed to know, and the itinerary and FAQs were comprehensive. Email communication to clarify anything else was responded to in a timely manner.

The day of arrival we met Rajesh who spoke to us about what to expect and answered any questions (ie logistics, gear requirements). He was very professional and friendly. Accommodation at a hotel was provided at the start and end of the trek, and all tea house stays were organised including food. Transport was also provided.

We were assisted by our guide Basanta throughout the trek. He helped us navigate the mountains, gave us many insights on the history and ways of life in Nepal, and managed our stays at each of the tea houses (organising food and drinks, bedrooms, anything that we needed). He is an incredible person and I couldn’t recommend him more highly, communicating very well and helping manage the morale and energy within the team. He made our trip a huge success!

The trek itself was unbelievable, off the beaten path but beautiful and scenic. Each day was slightly different as we got higher and higher, starting along the river into grasslands into forest areas into rocky areas and finally into mountainous areas covered with snow. The tea houses are basic but provide everything you need (with the occasional western toilet and warm shower).

Expect the trek to be tough but manageable, take it slow and enjoy the scenery. I will definitely be back with Nepal Trekking Experts.

My husband & my sister who lives in France used Raj's expertise to plan an amazing trip in the Annapurna region. We did a first trek to Annapurna  Circuit  starting from Jagat and continue over the Thorong La pass. Which known as a one of the highest pass in the world. It is not easy but rewarding. After the Thorong La, we decent to Muktinath, The most interesting thing on the town was best example of religious harmony between Hinduism and Buddhism. After the Muktinath, we drove to Tatopani and continue on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek via Ghorepani Poon Hill. Rajesh, the organizer of the company perfectly combined two trek as per our demand. He answer our all the questions very fast. Our guide Sudarson & our porters were exceptional: they know the tea houses with the best food and best views. Thank you for taking good care of us. Hoping to go back to Nepal sometime soon...

I did the Tsum Valley and Manaslu circuit treks with Nepal Trekking Experts and it was a 100/10 experience the whole way though. Couldn’t recommend Raj and his team enough, especially our guide Resham. They were professional and organised the whole way though, answering every question quickly and made sure we didn’t have to worry or think about anything apart from enjoying the experience. Our guide Resham was incredibly kind, caring and experienced, so much so that other guides along the way were asking him for advice. Unbeknownst to us and off his own back Resham filled half his bag with snacks just to make sure we were always looked after, that’s the kind of guy he is. Resham knew of all the best places to sleep, eat and visit on and off the trail that other guides and trekkers seemed to miss. Make sure you book your trip with Nepal Trekking Experts and make sure you request to have Resham as your guide, they both created an incredibly safe, easy and world class experience.

The Manaslu circuit was our second trek in Nepal but our first time with Nepal Trekking Experts and we would always choose this company again.
From the beginning Rajesh responded quickly to all our questions without being pushy, and he did everything he could to already ensure upfront that we will have a good experience. After the trek he invited us in his office to discuss our impressions. You can feel that he is genuinely interested in your feedback.

To make it short: our feedback was very positive. The trek itself is amazing: breathtaking and varied landscapes, not too crowded and with delicious food in the tea houses. Our guide Ganesh is very professional and attentive - he always made sure that we were safe and had everything we needed. His English is fluent (we philosophised about many different topics), he is very knowledgeable and explained us a lot about the local cultures. He also has a keen eye and, for example, drew our attention to mountain goats at a rock face far away, we would have never discovered otherwise. But most important he has a great sense of humor (we laughed A LOT). He also always kept a positive attitude and was motivated to hike more than we had to, to show us the best spots.

Our bottom line: Nepal Trekking Experts and our guide Ganesh have exceeded our expectations in every regard. We know who we will book our next trek with, and we highly recommend you to do the same :)

Dank unserem unglaublichen Guide Kritam und unserem Porter Raju wurde die Reise zu einem perfekten Erlebnis.

Die Kommunikation mit Rajesh vor der Tour war immer unkompliziert und er ist auf alle unsere Wünsche in der Planung eingegangen. Die Reise war von Anfang bis Ende von ihm Perfekt geplant.

Kritam war ein außergewöhnlicher Guide – immer gut gelaunt, sehr erfahren und voller interessanter Geschichten über die Region, Natur und ihre Kultur. Wir haben uns immer sehr sicher gefühlt und Kritam hat uns perfekt an die Höhe gewöhnt. Er kümmerte sich auch mit Herzblut um unser Wohlbefinde. Auch die Lodges waren immer sehr schön und das Essen dort war immer super lecker, zu dem hatten wir immer Kostenlos Strom und W-Lan. Seine lokale Expertise und sein Engagement waren einfach beeindruckend.

Ein riesiges Lob geht auch an Raju, unseren Porter. Mit seinem freundlichen Lächeln und seiner unglaublichen Ausdauer trug er unser Gepäck über die anspruchsvollen Trails und machte es uns möglich, die Schönheit der Landschaft in vollen Zügen zu genießen. Kritam und Raschu waren immer für uns da und sehr Hilfsbereit, unvergessen war auch immer das Kartenspiel am Abend.

Die atemberaubende Natur des Manaslu und Annarpurna, von den majestätischen Gipfeln bis zu den charmanten Dörfern, war einfach magisch. Jeder Tag brachte neue Highlights.

Wir können dieses Abenteuer und das Team aus Rajesh, Kritam und Raju jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen.

The trekking turned out perfect because of the Nepal Trekking Experts agency, Rajesh and the person he chose as our guide - Resham, whom I highly recommend as well as the agency!! Resham was so helpful, he understood our every step, he was always with us and always one step ahead of us 😉 I had a fever one day and they acted exactly as you would wish. They helped me, waited for me to get better.. Resham helped me carry my things as well as the porter Moicee. Also, even though we didn't plan, they advised us to use the porter Moicee and that was great advice! I think we listened to every piece of advice from Rajesh and Resham and we definitely didn't regret it, they are experts in their job and do it very well. So smart, thorough, professional wow!
And one more thing, I had a complication with a sprain at the end of the trip and Rajesh helped me a lot with that, a very good man!
