All in all it was a nice discovery trip to Nepal

    Oct 2022

Our choice was Manaslu Cicruit Trek via Upper Route. We started from Barpak and via Larpak village via Singla Pass. I think we encountered fewer hikers on this trail compared to the main trail. The daily plans were well planned by the service provider. Accommodations were planned in naturally beautiful places. One moment only, my suggestion, that it would have been nice, if the day after Larya La pass day, the last hiking day had been planned for two days. For older hikers, two days in a row of high descents can be difficult. Our guide and porters were caring, attnetive and friendly.

    Wonderful Manaslu circuit trek experince

    Oct 2022

We - a group of 12 - had an excellent experience trekking around Manaslu in October 2022 organized by Nepal Trekking Experts.
We were very well taken care of throughout our stay in Nepal.
The organizers met our group in the airport and transfered us to our hotel, helped us with the currency exchange and last-minute gear additions, briefed us throughly and even found us another porter last minute before heading out to the trek.

The activities and lodgings were well thought out and organized during the trek. Each evening, Rajesh gave us an overview of what to expect during the next day. Our group had people with quite different ages and physical capabilities - some wanted to hike around and see as much as possible, others had somewhat harder time and needed more downtime and rest. Rajesh planned our days so that everyone in our group was happy - we had rest days with several options for day hikes planned in. Also, our porters were incredibly helpful, on harder parts of the trek they sped ahead of our group to drop off their packs and came back to help the most tired ones by carrying their backbacks. And showed us some great dance moves during rest stops :D

What impressed me the most was the skill and knowledge of our guides and porters - in the middle of our trek, we started encountering groups coming back, telling us that there is a unpassable landslide ahead and that we should turn back. But Rajesh made a couple of calls and said that one of their guides already passed that part and we can continue, and so we did! We used an old road only the locals knew about to pass the landslide section, it took us several hours on rarely used small paths and was the most awesome trekking experience of my life!

Thanks to Rajesh and his crew, every member of our group made it happily over the Larkya pass in good health and great mood.

After we had finished our trek, our guides organized us a lovely farewell dinner with traditional Nepali singers and dancers.

I highly recommend Nepal Trekking Experts to everyone planning a trip to the Himalayas - they will take excellent care of you and will give you the best trekking experience you could ever wish for.

As a final cherry on top, I forgot my e-reader to a tea house somewhere in the middle of the trek and only realized it was gone a couple of days later. And Rajesh personally organized it safely back to me almost to the other side of the world... I am deeply moved and thankful about the care he (and his whole crew) gave us.

    AMAZING EBC HELI OUT TREK

The trip was amazing. Everything was arranged by the agency, hotels, transfers, meals and accommodation during the trek (they picked the best places) except in Gorak shep, where there was only one hotel open since they arranged a solo trek for me in winter season (Everest Inn, which was bad), but everything worked out for the best and we made the trek. I'm pretty sure the company didn't make any money, I did like that since the owner wanted more to make everybody else get their payments like guide and porter etc...
The only bad point, which was a misunderstanding is that I had to pay extra for the porter since it was not included in the initial price and they had to rent out a helicopter to go down just for me (I did 8 days heli out trek) which is expensiv.
The trip price was 1890 USD including everything I just had to pay my flight to Kathmandu. And big thanks to Thakur my guide and Abishek my porter, both great guys. Don't hesitate to ask for them.

Look no further, you have found your guiding company!!!

    Nov 2022

Nepal Trekking Experts is absolutely phenomenal and I have only the best things to say about them. I have been to Nepal a few times now and have traveled with a few different companies. All said and done they are number 1 on my list for recommendations and they are by far my favorite guiding company experience.

Rajesh the owner is absolutely wonderful, so responsive, and very helpful. He is completely genuine in wanting to fulfill your dream trip and he always helped with whatever our questions and requests might have been. All together Nepal Trekking Experts helped us organize and plan the absolute trip of a lifetime for two months in Nepal and two back to back long treks. Everything went smoothly and any travel issues were immediately sorted. Raj was amazing, our guide Ram was amazing, porter (and soon to be guide) Chhwang was amazing. Raj greatly values customer satisfaction and your travel experience and this is clearly evident through his company structure and the team he has chosen. Raj and Nepal Trekking Experts deliver the best, hands down.

The company is top tier, easily accessible, responsive, genuine, and well organized. This is your guide company, you need look no further. I will recommend Nepal Trekking Experts to friends and family for years to come. Even now as I am writing this I am flooded with only the best memories and am smiling ear to ear. It is because of our top notch experience with this company that our memories and photos will bring nothing but joy to our hearts for years to come. Thank you Nepal Trekking Experts for fulfilling the absolute trip of a lifetime!!!

Excellent Manaslu Trek, Nepal Trekking experts.

I had an excellent Mt. Manaslu trek in October 2022 with Nepal Trekking Experts & can whole heartily recommend them.

I was impressed with their professionalism, personablity, communication and organisation. I really valued the stress free aspect of the whole trip, for example NPE will meet you at the airport, transport you to your hotel, organise all alpects of the trek including trekking permits, arange all accommodation, provide a porter if you want one (recommended ðŸ™‚), help purchase any last minute items (in our case we needed crampons, as the pass was covered in snow), as well as providing excellent knowledgeable and experienced trek guiding.

I waited until I was in Kathmandu and could meet trekking companies offering Mt. Manaslu treks. Nepal Trekking Experts stood out from the 4 other recommended companies I spoke with: Rajesh is very professional, knowledgable, competent  and well organised. Their fee for the trip was reasonable.

Our group was small, a Dutch couple, Excellent Guide: Lok (beware, Lok is very good at card games, never misses a trick:) ), Binod, our strong porter and me. We trekked most days 4-6 hours, staying in simple tea houses (private 2 person rooms). Tea houses have restaurants attached, you will get to know Dal Bhat..

The trek was spectacular, we had amazing views of many mountains and glaciers. There were many unforgettable moments and stunning photos! The flora and fauna slowly changes from tropical to alpine over the days hiking, which is interesting, it's not until day 4 that you start to see the big mountains. Most days are 3-5 hours walking.

I have no hesitation in recommending Nepal Trekking Experts & will trek with them again next year.

Another amazing experience with Nepal trekking experts!

    Nov 2022 • Couples

Posted on behalf of my dad:

My son had a most remarkable birthday present for me a few months ago: a map of the Three Passes in the Khumbu region of Nepal. For decades I have been reading and dreaming about the area around Mount Everest. Frankly I never believed I would actually go there. So my sons proposal to do a trekking together came as a wonderful surprise.
The choice of the company to assist us was easy. Last year my son and his girlfriend made a trip around Manaslu with Nepal Trekking Experts at the recommendation of one of his close friends. That proved to be an incredible journey.
Before we left for Nepal (three weeks in November of 2022) I was in touch several times with Rajesh, the owner and manager of the company. Both by WhatsApp as well as on the phone. That all went very smoothly and effectively.
It was, therefore, no surprise we were welcomed at the airport by Rabin, our guide and brother of Rajesh. That was the beginning of three incredible, amazing and spectacular weeks. The mountains, the scenery, the friendly Nepali and the convoys of yaks and donkeys could not have been enjoyed so much if it weren’t for the organizational skills of Rabin and Rajesh. Always on time and ‘to the point’. I have traveled a lot in my life and usually without the help of others, but here, it would not have been possible. We would have had to endure quite a lot to find a good lodge, the nicest room, to get our meals on time, to know where to go etc. The path, the route is usually easy to find, but when one has alternative options or when you have to change your plans (as I did when I didn’t feel well), it is important to be able to rely on a guide who knows the area well. I used the words “experience and wisdom” for Rabin – and they were fully deserved.
For the first time in many years I enjoyed having “meetings”. That is when Rabin, our (in fact only ‘my’) porter Bijaya, my son and I discussed the coming day(s). I was very glad we were a group of four when we split and Rabin and my son went ‘up’ to Kalapathar and Bijaya and I went ‘down’ on an easier trail (it wasn’t due to altitude sickness – Rabin made sure we acclimatized slowly).
After the initial payment we never did have to discuss financial matters again. That was quite comforting. Rajesh’ support didn’t stop at the end of the trek. We consulted him on other matters as well. He got us a bus ticket, advised on our unsupported trekking in the Kathmandu Valley and, generally, was a good friend to us.
Our wonderful trekking will continue to impress me the coming years as was the excellent support from Nepal Trekking Experts. (Yes, I know this all sounds extremely positive. In this case, it is fully deserved!).

    Memories that last

With wonderful memories of my treks in the late 1980ies, I had put a return to Nepal high on my bucket list. At the time, I did the Annapurna Circuit and the Langtang trek, and now, 30-plus years later, I was hoping for a similar great adventure. And I did find what I was hoping for by completing the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit trek. This trek, and particularly the Tsum Valley that opened only recently to foreigners, mimicked my experiences of the 1980ies. The trails and welcoming rustic teahouses of the Tsum Valley were not busy despite trekking in peak season (October and November). The landscape is spectacular in that I would always see snow-covered mountains, no matter which direction I was facing. At the same time, the landscape was pacific and calming with gently sloping pastures, fields, nature and forests, decorated with Stupas, Mani walls, and picturesque settlements. The valley provided ample opportunities to visit monasteries and nunneries and to embrace the Tibetan Buddhist culture. Not a single time I encountered motorized vehicles or noisy machinery and instead enjoyed watching the Nepali supported by oxen busying their farmlands. My meals were often vegan or otherwise vegetarian charmingly consisting of crops from adjacent fields. The Tsum Valley also provided me the opportunity to crank up my fitness level, to strengthen my muscles and to adjust to the altitude, all needed for the second leg of the trek: the Manaslu Circuit. This second leg was clearly more crowded but nonetheless offered spectacular hikes along rivers and ravines, over bolder paths and suspension bridges, and with breathtaking views of alpine landscapes with massive glaziers and countless close and distant mountain peaks. My decision to work with the Nepal Trekking Experts was easily made once I connected with Rajesh, the owner. Of everyone I corresponded with, Rajesh was most prompt, constructive and informative in his responses. He would prompt me questions on the kind of experience I was looking for, and next made several customized suggestions for treks and options. Rajesh, obviously, has expert knowledge of what Nepal has to offer. He also understands that different travelers come to Nepal for different adventures, and he is the absolute master in matching the distinct needs of travelers with everything that Nepal has to offer. In addition, he employs undoubtedly the best guides and porters. Me and my two co-trekkers were so fortunate to have Rajan Dangol as our guide. Rajan knew the area as no other. He knew all the trails, all the shortcuts and longcuts, all the viewpoints and highlights, all the good teahouses, the monasteries and nunneries, where to look for wildlife, etc. He would always try to arrange the best tables and rooms for us, and cheerfully serve our meals promptly at the agreed times. After dinner he would sit down with us to discuss the options for the next days. He would talk about the area, the history, the geology, the nature, the culture, Buddhism and Hinduism, and he would share his personal opinions and experiences. In addition to Nepali and good English, Rajan speaks at least 5 local languages. He knows many people in the area, and they would know him. Rajan would initiate and facilitate conversations for us to have with the families running the teahouses, and with some of the nuns and monks of the nunneries and monasteries. Rajan is an altruist at heart who truly wanted the experience for us to be as good as possible, just as much as he wants the very best for this people and country. Rajan added so much – for this reason we nicknamed him ‘the best guide of Nepal’. We were further fortunate with our great porters, Sudip and his younger brother Anup. Supid, a certified guide and very knowledgeable as well, introduced us to some local card games that appeared so entertaining that playing cards quickly became our collective pre-supper routine. My 2022 experience in Nepal had been so amazing that I will be planning another trek in the years to come. Undoubtedly, I will be re-connecting with Rajesh and Rajan to whom I am so grateful.
