    Experience for life

This August we decided to discover Nar-Phu region for 3 weeks, due to monsoon rain in other parts of Nepal. We are a sporty, nature loving family with two kids, age 8 and 10 years. Excellent internet ratings brought us straightly to the office of Nepal Trekking Experts in Thamel, Kathmandu. We enjoyed a cordially welcome by Rabin Neupane, brother of founder Rajesh. From the first minute we found us in specialized, fondly competent hands. Rabin listened carefully to our plans and made a phone call to invite Resham Neupane, a young guide, who he chose to be the right company for us. And he was right! Resham was the guarantee for 21 days of pure and untroubled Trekking through the lonely and inexpressible beautiful landscape of Jagat, Koto, Meta, Nar, Phu, Kang La (5320 m) towards Tilicho Lake and Ice Lake. We experienced all comfort we needed in conciously chosen tea houses. Hs never ending cordiality and patience towards our two children and their needs was outstanding. Resham motivated the kids whenever necessary, he gave mental and - from time to time by a little goody out of his heavy backpack - physical energy to them! He never felt tired making also fun with them, and we enjoyed playing a family card game from Germany together in the evening! Resham as our very experienced guide helped us to adjust the initially planned route with his knowledge with regard to distances and the physical skills he observed in us. We felt safe and in best hands throughout the whole trek We already are planning to come back. If possible again with Resham as our guide! An unforgettable vacation for us! Thank you Trekking Experts!

    Great Trekking Agency!

We found the agency Nepal Trekking Experts because of its outstanding Google reviews. Raj and his team provided excellent advice on which treks can be particularly appealing during the late monsoon season. I find it very fair and open that he advised against the Manaslu Circuit, as strong rains and landslides can still occur there at the end of August/early September. Raj recommended a hike in the Nar Phu Valley, which is partially in the rain shadow, and also accommodated our request to continue a few stages on the Annapurna Circuit from there. Overall, I found the transparency excellent. He clearly explained what was possible and what was not, what he would recommend and what not, and that plans can always change due to weather or acclimatization. By the way, the Nar Phu Valley is a beautiful valley that can be seamlessly connected to the Annapurna Circuit, leading through Tibetan villages that are relatively remote. There are significantly fewer tourists there compared to the Circuit, and it is culturally very impressive. Our guide Thakur is a wonderful and caring leader who makes you feel in very good hands at all times. He is friendly and humorous, joyfully answers every question, and after so many years he's still enthusiastic when gazing at the mountains and landscapes. He takes excellent care of everything in the tea houses and accommodates any requests. Communication, organization, and service before and after the trek were also excellent. Baggage handling, pick-ups, transportation, flight bookings, ... Raj and his team took great care of everything! Thank you Raj and Thakur for the unforgettable experience!

Exceptional, Memorable Experience Trekking EBC... Highly Recommended!!!!

Alert!!!, i apologized for the lengthy review .

It all began with a casual conversation among my friends – Jessbird, Nick, and myself – in December 2019, where the topic of trekking to Everest Base Camp (EBC) came up. At that time, we had already enlisted the services of Rajesh from Nepal Trekking Experts, with plans initially set for October 2020. However, our dreams were shattered due to the onset of the pandemic. When the restrictions were lifted and international borders reopened, we decided to give our adventure another shot in December 2022, targeting a journey in May 2023.

    Prior to the trip:
Rajesh, the proprietor, proved to be exceptional in his responsiveness to our emails. Given our inexperience in overseas trekking, we bombarded him with various inquiries – some of them seemingly trivial, such as concerns about hot showers, warm blankets, and safety measures. Despite this, Rajesh exhibited tremendous patience as he addressed and explained each query to us. He consistently reassured us that everything would proceed seamlessly and that our well-being would be taken care of. Undoubtedly, Rajesh instilled in us a strong sense of security regarding the safety and success of our trip. (p/s thanks Rajesh for entertaining our random request)

    During the trip:
Upon reaching, we were well greeted by Rajesh and his drivers and were introduced to Dinesh who will be our guide throughout the whole EBC trek. Upon reaching to Lukla, we were further introduced to our porters; Marc and Buddhi. These three individuals played a pivotal role in ensuring that the entire trek was not only smooth but also enjoyable. Dinesh proved to be an exceptional guide, and I wholeheartedly endorse his services. His thoughtfulness and care towards all of us during this entire trek were truly remarkable. One aspect I particularly appreciated was his unwavering focus on safety. On one occasion, he went above and beyond to find me when he thought I might have gotten lost because I sometimes walked ahead of the group. This incident prompted him to consistently provide detailed briefings about the trek and offer constant reminders about the route. It's safe to say that Dinesh's dedication greatly enhanced our trekking experience. There were occasions when we found ourselves a bit frustrated with the food options, leading to minor moments of complaining. However, Dinesh would respond with a smile and patiently await our decisions on what to order (p/s: according to custom, guide is not allow to eat until the clients finish theirs unless the clients offer to eat together. So be kind and get them to join in ya. It is always nice to have dinner together instead of keeping them waiting).

To the porters, Marc & Buddhi ; due to language barrier we barely communicated yet we held deep gratitude for their unwavering dedication. Regardless of the challenges they faced or how tired they were, they always greeted us with a smile. So, trekkers, be kind, smile and just greet everyone “Namaste”. One will never know what a smile brings to another person’s day.

    Overall:
This has been an incredibly remarkable and exceptionally unforgettable journey that will remain etched in our memories forever. Every detail was intricately organized and expertly managed by their seasoned guides and porters, encompassing our accommodations, meals, safety, and well-being. We feel incredibly fortunate, appreciative, and thankful to have crossed paths with this remarkable team that transformed a trek into something beyond expectations. These 15 days have given birth to nothing but exquisite memories.

So, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you are given the chance, do sign up with Nepal Trekking Experts via Rajesh. Special MENTIONED especially to our Guide Dinesh and friendly porters; Marc & Buddhi.

    Excellent Agency!

We recently hike EBC for 15 days trip with Nepal Trekking Experts in May this year.
Our group was small only Jasmine, Nick & me with one Mountain Guide Dinesh and 2 porters Marc and Buddhi.
On Day 3 in Namche Bazaar, my coughing getting worst, oxygen reading dropping.
On Day 9, oxygen reading @ 45% when reached Lobuche Teahouse. Met a group of climbers, they are doctors from India & Switzerland who advise me to descend immediately.
It's difficult decision for me as EBC is my dream mountain to complete, I do not want to give up at the last point easily but Dinesh was very worried, but I told him will give answer next morning depending on my condition.
On Day 10 morning, decision was to descend with horse due to oxygen dropped to 33%.
Dinesh make arrangement for me descend with horse accompany by Buddhi, and meet again in Namche Bazaar on day 12 as he continued to based camp with Jasmine & Nick.
Really thanks to Dinesh he really takes care of me and monitor my condition throughout the journey. Special thanks to Buddhi for accompany me to Namche, we overcome the language barrier and he taught me few simple Nepal language.
Rajesh was always fast in replying to our email and provide us great advice on whatever question we asked
I highly recommend Nepal Trekking Experts if you're planning on trekking in Nepal, these guys are professionals

    Amazing Experience

Hi, we (group of 8) did the EBC trek with Rajesh and it was an amazing experience. The trek in itself is amazing but with an host like Rajesh, it becomes all the more memorable. Right from the beginning - Rajesh has been available to discuss and explains the various parts of the trek (small and big) to help us make the decisions & properly plan & prepare for the trek. And on the trek, everything was meticulously planned and taken care of from experienced guide, porters, support team, food places, tea houses, stay arrangements, etc. Special mention for our guide Prakash - he really made the experience rich ... would love to have him as guide on all treks :-)

Overall, Rajesh and team is highly professional and our safety and experience was of prime importance to them. Thanks for a memorable trek Nepal Trekking - look forward to the next one.

    Gokyo trek

निर्भयी भव:| (Be fearless) is a very serene blessing we all seek from our elders in the Indian culture. My wife Saritha & I had a chance to experience it last week when the Himalaya blessed us. The ‘Gokyo Trek’ in Himalaya is a 5000m+ climb. The nature's display of green jungle, freshwater gushing, world’s top mountain tips front of us (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu), heavy snow, winds spouting… We could not ask for any better larger than life portrait. One of the best life experiences.
The full credit of this great experience to Rabin & Rajesh. Rabin was our tour guide and companion. Rajesh organized everything perfect and especially some of the facilities in the rough weather conditions.

Excellent experience! Highly recommend Nepal Trekking Experts, Rajesh Neupane (Director) and Resham Neupane (our guide)

Overall my impression is that Nepal Trekking Experts is really focused on a great customer experience and they deliver that. The company was recommended to us by friends who have been repeat clients and through our experience understand why the company has a very high customer retention rate. Highly recommend! We'll be back :)

    The Trek:
A friend and I did the Manaslu circuit + Tsum valley trek over 18 days in the second half of April. It was an amazing experience! Interacting with locals at Chumling village, visiting Gompa Lungdang, sunrise at Shyala, the hike to Pungen Gompa after fresh snowfall, Larke La pass day are some of my favorite memories from this trek. There was a bit of haze at lower elevations but that cleared up as we got higher up and fortunately for us the weather gods were kind and we were treated to amazing views. We got to spot Himalayan Thar, Blue sheep (Bharal), Himalayan Pika, Marmots and on a couple of occasions saw signs (scat, pug marks) of a snow leopard.

    Nepal Trekking Experts:
The director Rajesh was very easy to work with, prompt in communication, flexible and accommodating of our requests. Less than a week before our trek one of us faced uncertainty because of a family health issue, casting a doubt over whether we could make the trip. In this time Rajesh was very supportive and let us figure things out while delaying permits and any other non-refundable expenditures as late as possible to give us flexibility. Fortunately in the end we were able to both travel as planned. Rajesh was very hospitable on our arrival in Kathmandu and helped us with last min purchase of microspikes (something that he insisted we carry and that we were grateful for having on the Larke pass crossing day due to unseasonal heavy snow).

    Our Guide, Resham:
On a long trek like this one spends a lot of time with their guide and we were fortunate to have Resham. He is friendly, communicates well in English and Hindi and knows this area very well. He quickly determined our trekking style and personal preferences and diligently made efforts to make our experience more enjoyable. For example when possible he called ahead to hotels we would be staying at and requested the room which had the best views. One morning he woke us up at 5am because after hours of snowfall the previous night the skies had completely cleared overnight giving us magical pre-dawn views of Manaslu and Ngadi Chuli from our hotel, and he knew we would want to be up to see that. Additionally, Resham allowed us to keep things flexible and this let us make tweaks based on weather and how we were feeling. During the trek I was having some discomfort carrying my backpack and wanted a few days without the pack. He was able to find a porter and make arrangements for my bag to be taken further ahead to a hotel we would eventually get to a few days later. His network of contacts in the area and their trust in him ensured that this happened seamlessly. For example we paid the porter 50% upfront and the hotel owner paid the balance after the bag was received. This wouldn't have been possible without Resham's network and the goodwill he had built in the community.
