Manaslu Circuit Trek

Amazing Trek
We would highly recommend Rajesh and Nepal Trekking Experts From initial enquiry six months ago, to the completion of the trek, we as a family of four adults had a great time! Thorough planning from start to finish, a fantastic guide in Basanta and wonderful porters Anis and Boupindra made for a trek of a lifetime. Manaslu is a beautiful circuit and Rajesh’s knowledge of the area is second to none We felt safe and supported throughout and stayed in some great places. An unforgettable experience for us with lifetime memories. Thanks to Rajesh for the detailed swift reponses, organising airport pickup , accommodation in Kathmandu and transfer of luggage to Pokhara. Also a great kit list and good kit advice .

Everest Base Camp Trek finally checked off my bucket list!!
The Everest Base Camp Trek has been on my list since I was in High School. I'm currently 51 years old. My father did this trek in 1972, before the Khumbu region was the popular tourist destination it is today. So, I've had lots of pictures to look at over the years. I found Nepal Trekking Experts in 2020, when I did some research & almost booked the trip then, but the person I was going with, backed out. Fast forward to February 2023, my current GF said she was in. So, we booked very early in 2023 for the last 2 weeks in October 2023. Booking early is beneficial since Rajesh, the company owner, can book the earliest flights to & from Lukla & get the best teahouse rooms (if you opt for an attached bathroom). Communication prior to the trip was excellent & Rajesh answered all of my questions & informed me of stuff I didn't know about. So, when we arrived in Kathmandu, we knew the procedure & where to meet our contact Rabin, at the airport. We checked into our hotel, settled in & met up with Rajesh later & he told us about the trek & made sure we had all the proper gear. We brought all our own gear, so we didn't need to rent any equipment. They did supply a duffel bag for each of us that our porter Bijaya carried. Our guide Prakash was excellent. He spoke very good English too. Very knowledgeable & kind. He tended to our every needs & then some! He was great at the teahouses & was on top of all our meals & whatever else we needed. He told us about the regions we were in, mountain names and any other relevant information. Since it was just the 2 of us, we hiked at our own pace & Prakash looked after both of us. Bijaya our porter usually went on ahead & checked us into our room. So, when we arrived at our destination, we were all set. The trek itself is beautiful every step of the way, but you have to put in the work to get to the next stop. The hills are steep, but if you take your time, they are manageable. We had extra days in Namche & Dingboche to acclimatize. By the time we made it to Gorak Shep, I was feeling great, but my GF was having symptoms from the altitude. Her pulse ox was low & not much energy. She told me to go to base camp & come back. Prakash stayed with her & Bijaya & I went to base camp. I made it to base camp finally & was thrilled to finally make it there after all these years!! The weather for this day & the rest of the trip was perfect. The mountains wanted to be seen, especially Ama Dablam. Such a beautiful mountain. It dominates the trek for several days. We ended up having to take a helicopter down but could only get one the next morning leaving out of Lobuche. Prakash arranged 2 horses to take us back down from Gorak Shep. So, we crossed the Khumbu Glacier in the dark on horseback. That was an experience & something we never imagined doing! Prakash & Rajesh had managed to arrange the helicopter rides for the next day. We made it back to Kathmandu & all was well. We had Rajesh book us the rest of the trip at the Ramada Encore (very nice luxury) & we spent the rest of our trip exploring the different areas of Kathmandu. The trip was excellent & if we come back to do some more trekking, we will book with Nepal Trekking Experts again!!

Incredible experience in Manaslu and the Tsum Valley!!!
I would highly recommend Rajesh and the Nepal trekking experts team to anyone looking for an outstanding, worry free, and fun adventure to the Himalayas.
From the pre-trip email inquiries, airport pickup, hotels in kathmandu, detailed packing list, walk through of the trek, and general support in kathmandu Rajesh was incredible. He is responsive, detailed, and extremely helpful no matter what your question is and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in the success of the treks and happiness of the clients. Whenever you come to visit he’s always, smiling, supportive, and gives you his full attention (while also offering you a drink)!
On the trek Lok and Santos were incredible guides who did an exceptional job of gauging the group capability and adjusting the itinerary accordingly. The entire trip was expertly managed, stress free, and allowed us (the clients) to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Himalayan mountains while the guides managed all of the logistics. I personally did the Manaslu + Tsum valley trek which was incredible and the Tsum valley is definitely a hidden gem of trekking in the Himalayas.
I would highly recommend Nepal trekking experts to anyone interested in trekking in Nepal and will definitely use them when I come back!
Thanks so much to Rajesh, Lok, and the nepal trekking experts team for an incredible experience!
Ps. I can’t stress enough how easy Rajesh makes planning a trek to Nepal.

Manaslu & Tsum Valley circuit amazing. Get here soon before the roads get more developed!
I had done lots of research on trekking companies in Nepal as I was keen to use a local trekking agency. I decided on reaching out to Rajesh at Nepal Trekking Experts because of the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Rajesh was quick to respond to all of my queries and made me feel I was going to be trekking with a very reputable company that didn't cut corners. From start to finish, it couldn't have been easier. We did the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit trek. I am so glad we decided to add on the Tsum Valley, as this was a real highlight. The culture within the Valley was as amazing as the views. When we moved onto the Manaslu, the views just got better and better by day. We were lucky enough to be in Lho when they had a 3 day festival, which was a real added bonus. We did the trek to Pungen Gompa from Shyalla and walked out to Samagaun. This was a real highlight and definitely worth doing. We also did the Manaslu Base Camp, which is a real uphill trek to reach, but it is really worth it if you have good weather. The accomodation and food were great along the way, the only one which was extremely basic was Dharamsala before going over the pass but that is all that is there. The pass itself, if you have done the Base Camp is not a difficult walk but we definitely needed our crampets near the top and coming out of the snowline.
With regards to our Guide Look, he was absolutely amazing and looked after us every step of the way. Our main porter Santos not only carried our gear but also looked after us sorting out our food and drink orders every day. They were also extremely good fun. Ramesh, our other porter was as strong as, and we always had our rooms and gear at the accomdation when we arrived.
Look, took care of everyone, including making sure one of the group was taken safely by helicopter off the mountain because of altitude.
I can't rate the company, the guide, and porters highly enough. 10/10 and would have no hesitation in recommending you use the company.

Tilicho Lake trek with Nepal trekking experts
This summer began our search for a trek and trekking agency to hike in October, in Nepal. Nepal trekking experts was recommended to us by a friend who was very satisfied with the organization and experience of his trek. From the first emails with Rajesh, who runs Nepal trekking experts, we had a very good feeling. Rajesh was very quick and professional in answering our questions and went straight to work on our personal requirements. Other agencies were more insistent or did not give concrete answers. Rajesh recommended the breathtaking Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake Trek and paired us with a fantastic guide, Rajan, and porter, Ram. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Rajesh had taken care of everything: we were picked up at the airport and taken to a very good hotel, Rajesh came to pick us up the next day to go through all the details of the trek in his office, and even in the evening, he invited us for a nice meal with another Belgian couple. After all, we would be spending the first few days of the trek with the other couple and Rajesh had introduced us to them over dinner. It was a very nice evening and it immediately clicked between the four of us, so we had a very nice start to the trek and continued to travel together after the trek.
Rajan was so much more than what we expected from a guide, he has tremendous expertise as a guide and is extremely competent. He always made sure we had a great time everywhere we went, was very good at judging how we were feeling or what we needed when we were having a hard time, told wise and beautiful stories, taught us a bit of Nepali, had a lot of knowledge about the places and nature we were trekking through, supported us in more technical parts of the trek and liked to keep us company in the evening with a game of dumball or yahtzee. We felt very comfortable with Rajan and couldn't imagine a better travel companion afterwards! Ram, the porter, was also a very fine companion. He was always ready to help where needed and spoke enough English to exchange stories, personal trivia and jokes. The whole trek felt very personal with Rajan and Ram, they truly made our experience an unforgettable one that we will be able to look back on for a long time to come. We are very grateful to Nepal Trekking Experts for managing the trek and recommend the agency and its team one hundred percent!

EBC Trek at its best!
The entire trip with Nepal Trekking Experts was a 12/10! This was our second visit to Nepal. After completing the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Rajesh and his team in 2019, we came back to discover the Everest region in October 2023 and - as expected - it was absolutely stunning again!
The entire booking process as well as the pre departure communication with Rajesh is completely hustle free. He keeps in touch with you via email and/or WhatsApp and is happy to answer all your questions plus he is giving useful tips when coming to Nepal for the first time.
After our arrival in Kathmandu we did receive a warm welcome at the airport and were taken very good care of.
The trek itself with our amazing guide Thakur - who already accompanied us back in 2019 - was truly memorable. Besides being a really funny travel companion, Thakur managed to secure really nice rooms for us in most of the tea houses and taught us a lot of new, interesting things about local culture, food, nature and wildlife in the region.
I can only recommend to book your adventure with this company! Great support, great people and a guaranteed unique experience. But beware, once you visit Nepal once you run a high risk of wanting to come back really soon :)
