Tilicho Lake trek with Nepal trekking experts
This summer began our search for a trek and trekking agency to hike in October, in Nepal. Nepal trekking experts was recommended to us by a friend who was very satisfied with the organization and experience of his trek. From the first emails with Rajesh, who runs Nepal trekking experts, we had a very good feeling. Rajesh was very quick and professional in answering our questions and went straight to work on our personal requirements. Other agencies were more insistent or did not give concrete answers. Rajesh recommended the breathtaking Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake Trek and paired us with a fantastic guide, Rajan, and porter, Ram. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Rajesh had taken care of everything: we were picked up at the airport and taken to a very good hotel, Rajesh came to pick us up the next day to go through all the details of the trek in his office, and even in the evening, he invited us for a nice meal with another Belgian couple. After all, we would be spending the first few days of the trek with the other couple and Rajesh had introduced us to them over dinner. It was a very nice evening and it immediately clicked between the four of us, so we had a very nice start to the trek and continued to travel together after the trek.
Rajan was so much more than what we expected from a guide, he has tremendous expertise as a guide and is extremely competent. He always made sure we had a great time everywhere we went, was very good at judging how we were feeling or what we needed when we were having a hard time, told wise and beautiful stories, taught us a bit of Nepali, had a lot of knowledge about the places and nature we were trekking through, supported us in more technical parts of the trek and liked to keep us company in the evening with a game of dumball or yahtzee. We felt very comfortable with Rajan and couldn't imagine a better travel companion afterwards! Ram, the porter, was also a very fine companion. He was always ready to help where needed and spoke enough English to exchange stories, personal trivia and jokes. The whole trek felt very personal with Rajan and Ram, they truly made our experience an unforgettable one that we will be able to look back on for a long time to come. We are very grateful to Nepal Trekking Experts for managing the trek and recommend the agency and its team one hundred percent!

EBC Trek at its best!
The entire trip with Nepal Trekking Experts was a 12/10! This was our second visit to Nepal. After completing the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Rajesh and his team in 2019, we came back to discover the Everest region in October 2023 and - as expected - it was absolutely stunning again!
The entire booking process as well as the pre departure communication with Rajesh is completely hustle free. He keeps in touch with you via email and/or WhatsApp and is happy to answer all your questions plus he is giving useful tips when coming to Nepal for the first time.
After our arrival in Kathmandu we did receive a warm welcome at the airport and were taken very good care of.
The trek itself with our amazing guide Thakur - who already accompanied us back in 2019 - was truly memorable. Besides being a really funny travel companion, Thakur managed to secure really nice rooms for us in most of the tea houses and taught us a lot of new, interesting things about local culture, food, nature and wildlife in the region.
I can only recommend to book your adventure with this company! Great support, great people and a guaranteed unique experience. But beware, once you visit Nepal once you run a high risk of wanting to come back really soon :)

Nepal Adventure <3
First-Don't hesitate in booking with Nepal Trekking Company --Just do it!!
We researched many other companies prior to choosing and found this was the best option for us.
The accommodation was great and better than I expected-to the food and customer service.
I had such an incredible experience with them throughout our journey from the moment we began to the moment it ended. I went with my now fiance and brother to accomplish one of my dreams that I have been wanting to do for quite some time. I had done other treks before and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro two years ago-I wanted something a bit more challenging and longer so we decided to go with EBC route along with 2 passes.
Rajesh was super helpful with helping us tailor our trek to what we wanted since we added extra and he was time sensitive to all the questions we had prior to arriving. When we were greeted by him he walked with us to help us find our extra trekking gear that we were in need of.
Along the trek our guides name was Dinesh. He was very accommodating along the way. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and had a funny sense of humor-always laughing with us along the way. I and we felt very safe with him guiding us. He checked our vitals everynight and frequently checked in on us. On one of our acclimatization days I was slower than the rest of my group coming down due to having sensitive knees from a previous surgery and I was recovering from some injured toenails and feet from training in which going downhill I had to go slower--Dinesh walked with me patiently behind and I was so grateful for his patience. He even took us to his favorite momo place one day for lunch-we ate the best momos I've had and they were unlimited! It was great to get to know him on a personal level and he will always be a friend.
The night prior to ascending Base camp my brother got really ill throughout the night-vomiting and among other things. He still wanted to make Base camp that morning because it was our big day despite having no energy and was becoming dehdyrated. The team was so patience, loving, and kind the entire day. Our porters--Chandra and Machhindra came with us that day even though they didn't have to since we were staying at the same location that night. They patiently walked behind my brother checking in and carried our daypacks. They were more than accommodating and very kind.
We all made basecamp and my brother continued to get even more ill after we finally returned to our camp for the night and it was decided that next morning that he would leave..the altitude wasn't helping him and he needed to get down. Chandra, Macchindra, and Denish helped out that next morning and we got him out of there. It was amazing how fast Denish and Rajesh coordinated it all. Really the entire trip.
That same night we continued to head to our pass (it was raining all day) and once we arrived Denish got wifi so that we could check in on my brother and he continued to coordinate with Rajesh. That night I ended up getting ill with a horrible headache and I woke up weak with no energy--I made the choice to come down and not continue with the pass. Again Denish and Rajesh were at it again and coordinated it all so fast.
Chandra and Macchindra did such a great job carrying our load. I felt ashamed that we had brought so much stuff. When I climbed Kilimanjaro you didn't have shops to by food and other items and I overpacked. I kept apologizing to them and checking in on them..and yet they were always grateful, smiling and in good spirits. They were truly so sweet.
Once we got back to Kathmandu Rajesh had everything organized and helped us plan and even cover some of the cost for the rest of the week we had in Kathmandu. He even came to visit me in the hospital. That truly is customer service and even more than that.
I feel each experience when you take off for an adventure is going to be different. This is one I will never forget. There were some hiccups coming down and not finishing the pass but we made what we set out to do and made it to Base Camp. I have no regrets and only acceptance towards the experience. I'm grateful for it all.
I and we will use Nepal Trekking Experts again for our next trek a they have many options. Nepal is such a special place in my heart and I keep coming back because of the people. Additionally, I have some lifetime friends. Thank you again to Rajesh and please ask for Dinesh as your guide along with Chandra (whom is also a guide) and Machhindra. <3

Manaslu circuit 921/10/2023
We loved every minute of this trek! It was perfect choice to start first Himalayas experience in this area! The communication with Rajesh was so easy, he is very patient and honest to ensure that his clients get the best possible experience.
We have been supported by very knowledgable and local guide Binod and porter Gokhul, both very caring and attentive! We had impression that we always got the best rooms to keep us happy! We never had any problems or issues during the trek. Except that I got sick when descending from Larke Pass. My guide took me to the hospital where I got immediate help and my health improved!
We could truly enjoy the beauty of the region and absorb the culture! It was amazing simply to watch the stars during the night and wake up early to admire gorgeous Manaslu!
Me and my partner will be back in 2025 and will contact Nepal Trekking Experts to support us with next trekking destination!
We love it See you again! Edyta & Tomek

Amazing lifetime experience in Nepal!
As we decided to do a trekking in Nepal it was not easy for us to find the right trek. The offer in internet is big but the information is not always very clear. Bei the Nepal Trekking Experts Website we were able to gain a good overview of the different Nepal trekkings and we choosed the ABC Trek. With the choice of the agency and of the trek we hit the bullseye.
Rajesh is very professional, he organised everything for us and made us feel confortable and in good hands from the first moment we arrived in Kathmandu. The hotels both in Kathmandu and Pokhara had a good standard, were cosy, clean and had a really good athmosphere.
Arjun our guide was very experienced and professional. Everything during the trek run smoothly. Honestly speaking I was a bit worried as tihs was our first trek in Nepal and I did not really know what to expect exactly Thanks to Arjun I felt save and at ease all the time and I could enjoy every single day of the trek. Both Arjun and Ram, our porter, were always there to help us whenever needed.
We highly reccomend Nepal Trekking Experts for their professionality, their perfect organisaton and for their talent to make you feel among friends.

Amazing, highly recommended
Amazing agency ! The owner is very friendly and did absolutely everything for me. He had been very flexible and helpful. Everything was perfectly organised during the trek. The guide was very good and friendly. He was always doing his best for us to feel good. A couple of members of the team got sick and the agency managed everything very quickly for them to be evacuated. At the end of the trek I got stuck in Lukla several days since the airport was closed due to bad weather. Again, Rajesh addressed the issue with a lot of professionalism. He managed for me to leave in helicopter. During those extra days the agency paid my accommodation and food. Additionally to the extra cost of the helicopter. They definitively loose money due to situation. I could see that their priority is to support their clients. After the trek Rajesh invited us for diner, in order to have our feedbacks. They are willing to improve. I compare around 10 agencies in Khatmandu and this one was the best I could have. I had the best service ever. And prices are very competitive. Highly recommended ! Thank you for everything. I will definitively book other treks with Trekking Nepal Experts if I come back to Nepal.

A memorable adventure in so many ways...
I can't say enough wonderful things about Rajesh and Nepal Trekking Experts...5 stars is simply not enough for the incredible experience, service, professionalism, care, and attentiveness he and his Team provided. We were supported and attended to every step of the way like family.
After researching 10 or so other local Trekking Companies in Nepal, we decided to go with Rajesh and Nepal Trekking Experts because of their incredibly low prices, the fact that they are locally owned and operated, and their very attentive communication. Right from the start, Rajesh and his Team worked with us to curate the best 16 day Trek for our group based on our time, interests and desires. We ended up signing up for the Everest Base Camp Trek with Two Passes and Gokyo Lakes, with the option for the 3rd pass if desired.
I can't underscore enough how quickly things can change when you are up in high, remote mountains, and how important it is to have a local Team that communicates very well and has the ability to make adjustments on the fly as needed. My girlfriend and her brother had climbed Kilimanjaro two years ago, but this was my first big trek. There were the 3 of us plus another solo female traveler who joined our group last minute. We had one friendly fearless tour leader/guide (Dines) and two wonderful porters (Chandra and Machindra). We received nothing but friendly smiles and 5 star service/attentiveness from all of them the entire time.
We stayed at very cozy tea houses every night and ate like kings every day! All three meals each day were at local tea houses with their own restaurants, where we could order anything off the menu! It's good we were trekking 5-6 hours each day, otherwise I would have gained a lot of weight! Every night after diner Dines would check all of our blood pressure and oxygen levels to make sure we were acclimatizing ok. Once you get up to 5000 meters and sleep at the altitude for a couple days, your body definitely starts to feel it. Even with Diamox, which all of us were taking, our sleep was pretty restless, with intense, vivid dreams, and occasional headaches. The higher up you go and stay, the more basic and rustic the accommodations get, but that is all part of the adventure!
I was planning on proposing to my fiance at Everest Base Camp, and told our guide Dines about it. He and the porters became super excited and the porters asked to come along to help make the occasion special and celebrate. Due to weather conditions at EBC that day, I decided to wait until the next morning, when we were supposed to climb up to the best view point for Everest, but that too was cancelled due to rainy weather. That morning as well my fiance's brother woke up feeling very bad (he had come down with some type of stomach bug we think the day before, but powered through to base camp and then with the altitude things got bad fast). Only options to get him down to lower altitude fast were either finding someone to split a $1500 helicopter ride, or spending almost the same $700-800 for 3 donkey rides back down (taking a full day or so.) Within 45 mins or so, Dines and Rajesh had coordinated with the helicopter companies, and found someone willing to split the ride. 20 minutes later he was flown down to Lukla, where Rajesh had already co-ordinated the owner of the tea house there to pick him up, take him in for the day/night and then put him on a flight back to Kathmandhu the next morning.
The weather remained a mix of light rain and clouds, and we made our way towards Gokyo Lakes walking all day on the side of a mountain up in the clouds and mist, with nobody else around---it was very surreal and beautiful, like walking on another planet. We made it to the tea house for the night and the weather continued to deteriorate. This was our 3rd night now staying at 5000 meters or more, and the altitude was definitely starting to effect us all. That night my fiance had severe headaches and nausea all night, and woke up feeling completely depleted, light headed and dizzy. The fact that we were supposed to climb 8 hours over another pass that day in the cold, pouring rain was not an option. The weather forecast showed rain for the next 3-4 days straight, and the fastest we could descend on our own would be 3-4 days walking down wet, muddy, mountain side trails where one slip meant disaster. We decided to evacuate my fiance by helicopter that morning and, once again, within 30-40 minutes of making the decision to do so, Rajesh and Dines had co-ordinated everything! They treated my fiance like a VIP and she was down off the mountain within 1.5 hours back in Kathmandu, where they took her to the international hospital there overnight for treatment and stabilization. It was remarkable to watch Rajesh and his Team pivot so quickly and make changes as needed to ensure our safety and satisfaction. Rajesh even went out of his way to come in person to the hospital to visit my fiance and make sure she was ok and everything was being taken care of.
After we were all back in Kathmandhu, Rajesh heard about my desire to propose to my fiance and organized a beautiful four star hotel in Nagarkot for us all to go to for a night. It was a magical place and the perfect opportunity to relax, propose, and reflect on the adventure we all just had. Rajesh organized everything for us and gave it to us complimentary as a gift.
As you can see, at every point during the trek Rajesh and his Team went out of their way to ensure our safety and satisfaction with everything. The whole time we were in Nepal it felt like we were part of a big family who had our back every step of the way. I have been traveling all over the world for the last 40 years to over 105 countries, and I have never experienced such friendly, authentic service, attentiveness, and genuine concern. We are hoping to come back and explore Bhutan and Tibet as well in the near future, and we will absolutely be using Rajesh and Nepal Trekking Experts again!

Nar Phu valley trek with guide Resham
All, Do not hesitate and book your Nepal trek with Nepal Trekking experts! It is by far the best Trekking agency in Nepal!!
A few months before our trip, we read excellent reviews so we contacted Rajesh through email to ask about his suggestions of Nepal treks. As we are a couple who have been Trekking through Europe Alps, we asked to have a challenging and remote (less crowdy) trek in Nepal, keeping in mind we only had 9 days to do it. Rajesh answered within minutes with a detailled overview of the Nar Phu Valley trek, which we had never heard before. Immediately we were thrilled about his passion in his answer about the remote Nar Phu valley trek so we continued with several questions which were all answered very professionally within a few hours. It was almost impossible not to book this trek so we confirmed and looked forward to our trip a few months later. Upon arrival in Kathmandu we met with Rajesh to go over the trip details, which was very usefull, and gave us a relax comfortable feeling to start the trek. The night before departure, we met our Guido Resham and went to dinner with Rajesh and his brother Rabin to discuss the last things. It was really wonderfull to have this dinner with the 2 brothers Rajesh & Rabin as this made us very at ease to start the exciting adventure.
We had the luxury to start our trek together with another couple (also from Belgium) who did the Annapurna. So the first 2 days we trekked together with our guide Resham and the other guide Radjan and porter Ram. This group was really amazing and in only 2 days we made a strong band all together which we will never forget. Thank you Radjan, Ram & Resham for this excellent start!!
In Koto our paths seperated as we continued with the Nar Phu part of our trek. The next days were outstanding as the landscape and remoteness of the Nar Phu valley is really ashtonishing! It is a challenging trek, but with Resham as your guide, you will always feel cared and motivated to complete the Trekking day.
All good words, and believe it or not, but the best is yet to come. Our guide Resham is truely one of a kind. We could not wish, dream or think of someone better to guide us during this trek. His competence as a guide goes beyond what you expect. Some examples here below: - he is very caring and will always help you when needed! He caried our sleeping baggs for a few days as we both suffered from some pain due to heavy backpack. - he knows the people, region extremely well. This is usefull as he will fix you always the best rooms and views possible and can be flexible when the planning is changed due to weather or other Conditions. - he speaks English very well. Easy to communicate with him and get to know him as a person and also get to know the Nepali culture and nature. - always in for a laugh. We enjoyed his presence during the walking and also in the evening when playing "Dumball" card games - very smart and empathic. He evaluates from the start your walking rythm and habits and adapts the trek accordingly. He also sees when you have a more difficult day and will offer his help always - he brings some snacks along the way so it helps getting your energy boosted when needed - so many more...
Sorry for the long review, but these guys are worth spending time to write and read excellent reviews.
Thanks Rajesh, Rabin, Radjan, Ram and our "Dai" Resham for this beautifull experience which we will never forget.
Nepal trekking experts is the best and we will recommend you to everyone we know!!
