I did Annapurna Circuit as a solo traveller through Nepal Trekking Experts. I organised through the owner, Rajesh, over email a few weeks before I arrived and he was very accommodating to my requirements and gave a very fair price.

I was recommended this company by someone I spoke to on a trekking forum and it did not disappoint! As you can see they have an exceptional reputation.

My guide was Thakur and he was fantastic. Of all the guides we met along the way, he struck me as the most professional and knowledgeable of them all and put my safety as the top priority. His English was also great, and he was very friendly!

Overall would highly recommend you to go with Nepal Trekking Experts :)

My partner and I completed the Manaslu Circuit trek from mid to end of May 2023. We initially reached out to Raj (the owner) via WhatsApp while still traveling abroad around Asia. After arriving in Kathmandu, we spoke to several tour companies, including Nepal Trekking Experts. We instantly felt at ease with Raj and knew he was the best company for us. He even had the cheapest price out of all the companies we spoke to. Raj also provided sleeping bags, down jackets and poles free of charge.
The trek itself was absolutely magnificent. It's less explored than the other treks and is much quieter, we hardly bumped into any other tourists at all. Binod our guide was very experienced, kind and considerate. He knew the mountains well and we always felt safe with him. Binod took us to the best teahouses and restaurants for dinner, and always made an effort to make sure our rooms were clean with blankets and that the food in the kitchen was fresh. He took really good care of us and he gave us confidence to successfully complete the pass, despite the amount of snow. Our porter Utam was always kind and helping us out. The scenery is so vast on this trek and you get to experience so many wonders of Nepal as you hike up towards the Tibetan border. It wasn't as challenging as I thought it would be. Some days are long, but you do still have plenty of time to relax on other days. I highly recommend you book the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Nepal trekking experts. You won't regret it!

I want to thank Rajesh for arranging the Annapurna circuit with Tilicho lake trip and Dinesh for guiding me as a solo traveller.

My private trip was taylor made to fit into my itinerary in Nepal. Everything was organized well, the communication was prompt from the beginning, so I was sure that I've chosen the right operator.

Trekking around the Annapurna range was excellent, and thanks to Dinesh, it was safe, enjoyable and fun. We talked about nature, culture, and life in Nepal. I really appreciate his effort to make my trip memorable!

It was my fourth trek with Nepal Trekking Experts and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Look no further if you’re researching for your next Himalayan adventure.
I felt so supported and well cared for throughout the whole experience.

Ganesh was my guide and I can’t imagine heading into the mountains with anyone else. He is patient, knowledgeable, professional and a delight to have around.

The entire team are so good at what they do. Everyone in the office is unbelievably helpful and the guides and porters work so damn hard to give you the best possible experience. They deserve a daily standing ovation 👏

Logistics:
We trekked to Poon Hill and ABC May 18-28th, which is right at the end of the trekking season, heading into monsoon season. We got a little bit of rain and clouds but it was well worth it when the clouds parted for some stunning views of Annapurna.

You’ll be provided with a clean sleeping bag and puffy jacket if needed from Nepal Trekking Experts but you’ll need to have your own rain gear sorted if your trekking close to monsoon season. There are tons of shops in Kathmandu or Pokhara to buy/rent whatever gear you need. I think it’s nice to plan to buy in Nepal to support their economy.

The teahouses are simple but cozy and the food is always delicious. I recommend getting dal bhat, the traditional Nepali dish which locals eat every day for lunch and dinner.

This hike includes lush jungle, rocky alpine, waterfalls and rivers, monkeys and birds, and a culturally immersive experience with the beautiful Nepali people.

Thank you Rajesh, Ganesh and team for the best experiences of my life… I’ll be back! :)

We (three of us) did an 18-day trek, starting with a jeep from Kathmandu to Salleri and hiking up to Gokyo and back down to Salleri (no flying involved!). We booked with Nepal Trekking Experts at fairly short notice, having been round lots of agencies in Kathmandu, and they were able to fit us in despite it being one of the busier times of the year (late April). We had an amazing time and were very well looked after by our guide, Binod, and porters, Lactan and Raj. Although the weather was a bit crazy at times and we couldn’t cross the Renjo La as planned (LOTS of snow) we still got some fantastic views and Binod went above and beyond to try and give us the best possible experience despite the weather. He was happy to accommodate changes to our planned schedule, for example continuing two more hours to Mong La on one day when the proposed teahouse in Phortse Tanga was really busy and didn’t look great. (Mong La turned out to be amazing - would highly recommend staying there for the incredible views!). One of our group got altitude sickness when going up Gokyo Ri and Binod was great - made sure he came straight down, looked after him and reassured the rest of us. He also looked after our porters well (there are some weird rules in the Everest region and they couldn’t always stay with us), making sure they always had meals and somewhere to stay. Lactan and Raj the porters were fantastic - always cheerful and never seemed to be tired! We really appreciated the fact that Lactan acted as a sort of second guide at times, coming up Gokyo Ri with us and always helping us, picking up stuff we had forgotten etc. Thanks again to all of them.

I’ve also done the Manaslu Circuit, Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp with this company and Ganesh as my guide and loved every single one! I can’t recommend them enough.

Annapurna Base Camp With Mardi Himal Trek was special because I went during off season (January 2023). It’s one of the regions of Nepal that is open all year round for trekking. With fewer foreigners it felt more culturally immersive than other treks. It was also unique to be trekking through villages where people lived, not just from teahouse to teahouse built for trekkers.

The landscapes are stunning but the terrain is not as challenging as some of the other options. You’ll see so many gorgeous animals, both wild and domesticated.

As always there is lots of flexibility with the schedule which you’ll sort out with your guide as you go. I loved my guide, Ganesh, who was endlessly motivating, knowledgeable and helpful. You can put in a special request for him if you want someone super lovely and accommodating.

I’ve done some treks with a porter and others without. If you’re on the fence at all, I’d recommend using a porter to support the local economy and be able to enjoy your trek instead of just endure it. All of the guides and porters working for Nepal Trekking Experts are top class people and work so hard.

Every aspect of the trip was first rate. We had consistent communication with Rajesh before we booked until after we finished the trek. Every aspect, including trekking partners, was clearly considered. The guide - Rajan - was calm under pressure, knowledgeable, and unfailingly friendly and engaged. The porters - Ram and Dilli - were two of the nicest, toughest people you could meet. The trek itself was beautiful. Stop thinking, stay booking.

Nepal Trekking Experts organised every detail of our trek to Tsum Valley. They supplies duffel bags and sleeping bags for our group of six, (average age of 70). The itinerary was comprehensive and detailed but it allowed for flexibility when changes were necessary. As there were some illness in our group our guide adapted to the circumstances and made the necessary changes efficiently and with consultation. The scenery was breathtaking and although the trail was challenging at times we were able to manage comfortably. The Porters stayed with us and assisted members of our group across river crossings, suspension bridges and more tricky avalanche areas. They were friendly, skilled and accommodating in all respects. Our guide spoke English fluently and was a wealth of information. He answered our questions informatively and with his own distinctive, amicable personality. We could not speak more highly of the Porters, Chhwang, Tej, Uttam, our guide, Ram and Rajesh who did the administration and organisation. Nepal Trekking Experts, at all times, went above and beyond to ensure a safe and rewarding experience for us all.
