Me and husband did the Annapurna Circuit/Tilicho Lake Trek with Nepal Trekking Experts in October 2019. We were really happy with the trekking program and the overall organization. From the airport pick up until the end of the trek everything worked perfectly and Rajesh, the owner of the agency was always available for questions and really helpful. We did the trek with a guide and porter who were both very nice and took really good care of us. I can definitely recommend booking a tour with them. Since beginning of conversations by email, Rajesh has been quick responding and quite helpful to us. Everything was very well organized beforehand and we were well taken care since the moment we land in Kathmandu. We (my partner and myself) booked the ABC trek as described on their website, but with the difference that after the trek we went to Chitwan on our own instead of going back to Kathmandu by bus. Before starting the trek, Rajesh sat down with us and went through a checklist to make sure we had everything we would need for the trip. We borrowed a pair of sleeping bags, which were quite useful in the end. Dream City in Kathmandu and Crystale Palace in Pokhara are the hotels that the agency booked for us. During the trek accommodations are not usually booked beforehand. Agencies only do it for big groups with fixed programs. The advantage is that it gives you flexibility to adapt the program as per your pace. The downside is that on high season some days you may have to share a dormitory or walk a bit further to the next village to find a place to stay. We were lucky to have Prakash as a guide and Dilliram as our porter for our journey. Prakash was always attentive and looking after us at any time. He is very friendly, curious and likes to joke. It was nice to share with him many experiences, get to learn about each other cultures, and play some Nepal games at the teahouses. Dilliram our porter, always happy, was like a second guide to us. He is passionate about nature and never hesitates to stop to tell us something about a plant or an animal we came across. Sometimes he would even stop to show us pictures taken from his mobile, to let us see how the landscapes we were walking by looked like a few weeks ago when the clouds were not there! Many thanks to the Nepal Trekking Experts team for ensuring that our dreamed trip to Nepal went smoothly and successfully. Looking forward to come back. All in all, if you decide to go through an agency, this one is a safe bet for your journey.

Wow! These 2 weeks were really tough. We combined the classical Manaslu circuit with a trek into the Nar-Phu valley and were amazed by the deversity of the landscape. We definitely recommend this combined tour. Compared to e.g. Peru or Bolivia permits and the need to hire a local guide sum up the costs considerably but we finally felt it to be worthwhile. Some sort of restriction preserves authenticity and helps the guides to have some income. Rajesh organized everything in advance so we could start the trek almost directly from the Airport. Our guide Ram took care of us perfectly, was preventing us from starving or falling ill with AMS. We will definitely go to Dolpo and Kanchenjunga again with Ram!

We completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek via Upper Route and everything about it far exceeded our expectations. Our guide Dal (AKA Daljit or Bisan) was amazing. He spoke English very well (much better than any other guides we met for our entire trek). He was always talking with locals to find out trail conditions (he rerouted us at least twice to safer trails due to recent landslides that he learned about from locals). He is also from the Mansalu area, and knew local languages and was familiar with the local accommodation. He looked out for us the entire time, and even checked on the kitchen to make sure the food was handled safely and cooked well. Dal is also knowledgeable in wilderness first aid, has a good sense of humor, and truly became our friend during the trek. Rajesh responded amazingly fast to our emails and questions. He was incredibly hospitable while we were in Kathmandu, and kept tabs on us while we were trekking. We chose not to hire a porter, but if we do it again we would probably choose to go with a porter. Not only is the terrain difficult, but the additional factors of altitude and a decent chance of getting a little sick at some point make hiring a porter a good idea. We were blown away with the value we got out of this trip. We ended up trekking alongside another group who went through Nepal Trekking Experts and had a very similar experience to us. Besides that, the next best guide service we encountered on the trail cost 4 times as much as we paid! All the good reviews are well deserved. We miss Dal and Rajesh but hope that we can trek with them again sometime in the future!

We just completed the 17 Manaslu Circuit Trek and would highly recommend Nepal Trekking Experts! I read reviews from over 50 trekking companies and narrowed it down to 10 companies based on value (positive reviews and decent pricing). From those 10 companies I emailed questions and Rajesh from Nepal Trekking Experts was always the first to respond (usually within an hour) with detailed and informative answers. So we.decided to use them. This was a turnkey trek professionally and thoroughly organized by Rajesh. Everything he promised was true: We were greeted at the airport and taken to a very nice hotel, treated to an upscale dinner with live entertainment, provided quality gear, accompanied by our guide and porter during the bus/Jeep riides and through the entire trek, provided with the best tea houses, ordered anything off the tea house menus, transferred to the airport at the end.

The guide and porter are perhaps the most important aspect of the trek since you will be spending days or weeks with them. Our guide, Rajan had the biggest heart with a warm personality. He was so friendly and accommodating. My friend had difficulty with the steep sections so Rajan carried his pack in addition to the weight he was already carrying. He was very knowledgeable of the trails and area and got us to our destinations efficiently, while still being patient with our needed rests. He provided us with fresh fruit that he carried during the trek. He always had a smile and was willing to please.

Our porter, Gautan was incredible. I could not believe how much weight he could carry over the steep and uneven trails. He was super human with a great attitude. He too spoke English and provided information which gave us a similar experience of a second guide. Rajan and Gautan became like family. We played card games, told stories, shared laughs, and had had great time together. I felt fortunate to have them during our trek and now consider them to be close friends.

So if you want an amazing experience from start to finish and are trying to choose from all the trekking companies, look no further..... Go with Nepal Trekking Experts!

In May 2019, I organized solo trek to Makalu Base Camp and again 4th time used the services of the Nepal Trekking Experts. The less explored and challenging trekking route required a lot of effort due to bad weather. However with an enormous help of the Nepal Trekking Experts, the trek did not affected. While the agency owner Rajesh keep checking weather forecast and updating us and providing us professional advice, we had more confident and positive. Without their massif help the trip won't be possible. You will never regret choosing them for your adventure in Nepal and for sure I am using their service soon

Due to our relatively tight timeframe in wanting to do both the Annapurna Circuit and Upper Mustang, we contacted several agencies by email to have them assess how realistic our itinerary was. Communication with Raj was a standout from the rest, extremely clear, professional, responsive and understanding of our needs.

We set off with our guide Mohan for the next 2 weeks who was very attentive, upbeat, knowledgeable and made sure our whole expedition went smoothly and was able to accommodate a lot of flexibility into our trek. Highly recommended Nepal Trekking Experts and will be using them again when we visit Nepal in the near future!

On the trail, our guide Thakur was knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the Hindu and Buddhist culture.
Porter/guide Sunil was always by our side for everything. Very helpful and fun guy to hang out with.
We encountered a medical issue after 15 days and Rajesh arranged the evacuation of my friend very quickly. We were all very worried but it all went very smoothly thanks to him.
A very human company that truly believes in our satisfaction.
Would recommend for everyone that wants to have the peace of mind about any issue while in the mountains.
